Are Pretty Faces Basis of Beauty?

Written by: Christel Torrefiel

When describing someone who is exceptionally gorgeous and possesses flawless good looks, the adjective beautiful is utilized since it is stronger. A person is considered beautiful if they are described as pretty.

Most people believe that pretty face is everything. They think that if you are pretty, everyone will go into you to get your attention.

The idea that various people with diverse life experiences in different cultures develop distinct standards of beauty has long pervaded the social sciences, as epitomized by the proverb "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". If you think that only pretty faces can be attractive, I am fully in opposition to that.

Not all people are into looks, sometimes they're much obsessed with personality.

I have a friend I met online and I noticed that she rarely post her face online. I asked her, and said she was afraid that she might be laughed at because of her face. Because the last time she showed her face to her ex-boyfriend, he suddenly left without telling her what's the reason. She is very insecure to herself. Yet, she met a man. A man who likes her the way she is. Without pushing him to love her, it's just that the man is in love with her for what she is.

In conclusion, there are many reasons why insecurities occur. People are busy wasting money to buy beauty products to make themselves prettier, but they forget that an essential key to the overall appearance is their inner beauty. Moreover, attraction does not have to be about your physical appearance. It can be something unique, something like personality the behavior and the way you interact with others. An attractive physical appearance means nothing if you have an awful heart. Not all pretty are beautiful, beauty is all about confidence, kindness, happiness, dignity and intelligence. An advice to every individual out there who is insecure with their looks, you are more than just a pretty face.
